Carlo Gallavotti gained extensive experience focusing his practice on civil law issues, in particular contracts and business transactions, mainly in the media, entertainment and sport sectors. He also provides legal advice about data protection.
He assists national and international subjects in relation to the production and distribution of audiovisual and authorial content in general, following every phase of the project, from the idea and its protection to the acquisition of rights, to the finding and securing of financial resources, across all steps of processing, up to the exploitation of the completed work through all channels and forms.
Regarding the protection of personal data, for 15 years Carlo has been advising several clients, including leading operators in sport, audiovisual content production, radio and television, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as B2B and B2C platforms; also assuming the role of DPO (data protection officer) since it was introduced.
He has significant experience in corporate transactions, including transnational transactions, having followed numerous operations with sensitive aspects, especially pertaining intangible assets.
Carlo graduated with honors at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and was awarded with a JSD from the University of Padua. He was admitted to the bar in Rome in 2001 and authorized to Higher Courts since 2015. Carlo works in Italian and in English.
